Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai

Experience world-renowned Thai hospitality at this waterfront property…

Originally from Thailand, Centara Hotels and Resorts is based on traditional family values.

The location

Nestled on a prime stretch of the Deira Islands waterfront, this resort will allow you to swap the bustling life of Dubai for calm, blue waters associated with adventure, courtesy of the family-friendly water park.

Look and feel

With little ones in mind, pops of color, plus beach and ocean elements are dotted throughout the hotel. Expect underwater murals and photos of Thai beaches paired with giant elephant sculptures, bamboo umbrellas and tuk-tuks for that cultural touch of Thailand.

The rooms

A variety of room styles are available with beach and water park or city views. If you’re going with toddlers, opt for the room that comes with bunk beds – they’re sure to be a hit. For the design, a minimalist approach is taken with predominantly blue hues paired with Arabian accents and a cool piece of artwork hanging above the bed.

Facilities and activities

Facilities at this resort are plentiful, but the highlight is the water park which features slides, cliff jumping points, playgrounds, a lazy river and more. For water activities, head to the beach and dive into the Arabian Gulf. For non-water related activities, back at the hotel, kids will find plenty to enjoy in the Mirage Family Lounge.

Other must-see facilities include the Cenvaree Spa, which offers an extensive selection of treatments and hot and cold plunge pools. Once the sun goes down, gather the family and watch a movie on the beach.

food and drink

The hotel is home to a number of restaurants, but our favorite was Sands, which lives up to its name as it’s right on the beach. The restaurant serves fresh seafood and grills and thanks to the friendly and attentive staff, the dining experience was truly memorable.

For dinner, we opted for Lebanese restaurant Sheesh where we enjoyed dishes such as hummus, cheese rakakat, shish tawook and Lebanese mixed grill. If you’re craving Thai food, there’s Suan Bua (where breakfast is also served), or for Argentinian-flavored grills, head to Uno Mas.

Room rates

Rates including breakfast are 587 Dhs++ per night.
